SAR Team on a rescue

Sanpete Search and Rescue Patrol operates as  a volunteer organization to provide
a trained and organized search and rescue resource for the Sanpete County Sheriff.
The Patrol also serves as a trained resource for assisting in some law enforcement activities under the direction of the Sheriff. The Patrol is often  assisting with civic
activities in each community when requested.

WHO ARE WE ?

We are volunteers who are dedicated to Search and Rescue. We are your neighbors.
Professionals in many fields. We know the mountains, lakes, and valleys like the backs
of our hands. We are trained in search management , man tracking, first aid, survival techniques, crime scene preservation, traffic control, operating OHVs and snow rescue
equipment, and avalanche rescue. Each member is required to obtain NASAR SAR technition level II, which is a comprehensive national recognized SAR certification.
